Getting Here and Around

Kraków is easily reached by plane, train, and bus. The Kraków airport maintains direct connections with the majority of European cities. Similarly, Kraków main train station is served by EuroCity trains with direct connections to Budapest, Prague, Vienna, and other cities. MDA Bus Station, just next to the train station, offers international connections as well.

Participants who would like to come through Warszawa can either change for Kraków at the airport (a 50-minute flight) or get to Kraków by train (the trip takes approx. 2 hours 30 minutes).

Accomodation

As a tourist city, Kraków has a large and varied choice of accommodation: a wide range of the highest standard, five- and four-stars hotels, medium standard (three-star) hotels along with a relatively well-developed sector of economy hotels. The accommodation offered in Kraków also includes many low-budget facilities such as hostels, student hostels, b&b. You can check the list of hotels with preliminary reservation for IAHR participants here. Visitors can also enjoy a rich variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs.
